OPEN HOUSE WEEKENDThis "open house" weekend is known as an important annual meeting point for music lovers in general and everyone who is interested in new technologies. To all participating Ircam partners, it's a showcase for latest music technologies and, this year, for the newest developments regarding performance settings. Last year the first edition of Resonances brought together over 5000 people.
Moving around a sound hologram ; interacting with a virtual dancer, playing invisible percussions, exploring new borderlines between music, theatre, video, plastic arts, video games ; participating to performance workshops on voice, image or motion processing ; meeting up with scientists and artists of all over the world presenting the most recent "live" interaction devices... This list would be too long if we had to mention all surprises of this weekend that is festive and full of conferences and meetings. This year we will focus on live performance technologies including sound installations, concerts, conferences and demonstrations allowing not only to discover but also to demystify the role of technology in today's and tomorrow's multidisciplinary performance.
