MORENO ANDREATTA, STÉPHAN SCHAUB

The basic principles of Set Theory : an introduction

Abstract

This talk will provide an overview, in the form of an introduction, of some of the basic theoretical concepts that will be discussed throughout the symposium. The basic ideas of Set Theory and of its transformational extensions will be presented from an historical perspective combining the principles formulated by the American tradition with some of European ideas through the past few decades.
