MARC CHEMILLIERFor a multimedia writing of ethnomusicologyAbstractThis presentation will present different technical procedures that are introduced by applying multimedia in music representation, using interactive musical animation examples (called "listening keys"), created on the website ethnomus.org. We will show how multimedia allows the integration of sound and image to focus the attention of the spectator on certain aspects of musical phenomenon. We will also discuss interactivity, i.e. the possibility to make interact the user with image and sound by clicking on different components of the visual interface he sees, by asking himself on what it would be interesting to make interact the user in relation to a sense of music. This question will generate real interactive scenarios conceived as "demonstrations". The ideas that are developed in this presentation will be repeated in an article that will appear in the Cahiers de musique traditionnelle. |
