Marc ChemillierSenior Lecturer, ethnomusicologist Assistant professor in computer, Marc Chemillier is currently working at Ircam. A part from his research in computer music, he's also involved with ethnomusicology at the Laboratoiry UMR 8574 of the Musée de l'Homme of Paris, which lead him to Centrafrique to study music of the Nzakara harpists. He participated at the collective book Une esthétique perdue published by Éric de Dampierre as well at the record that was published in the collection of th CNRS Musée de l'Homme dedicated to the repertory of Nzakara-Zandé. More recently, he worked at Madagascar on cithara music for the tromba possession cult as well as on cognitive aspects of Malagasy divination within the framework of a Cognitic project.
