Pierre CouprieComposer Pierre Couprie studied oboe, harmony and analysis at the Bordeaux CNR. From 1993 to 1995, he attended electroacoustic classes at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatoire with Michel Zbar, composing classes with José Luis Campana and studied psycho-acoustics with Gérard Charbonneau at Orsay University. In 1997, he was a resident at the Sonic Research Studio at Simon Frazer University in Vancouver (Canada) and in 1998, at the Groupe de Musique Experimentale in Bourges (France). He wrote his master's paper about Ivo Malec, his DEA paper on the terminology of the electroacoustic genre and is currently working on his doctorate PhD paper about the morphological analysis and analytical representation of electroacoustic music at Paris IV University (Sorbonne). He teaches music at junior secondary school and computer music at Paris IV- Sorbonne University. He is a founding member of Les Photogénistes group, in which he plays the recorder, the didgeridoo and live electronical instruments.
