Philippe Leroux

Composer

The composer Philippe Leroux was born in 1959. After his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris, he will be resident at the Villa Médicis in Rome.

He composed about 40 works, in most of musical styles and ordered by several French and foreign institutions. They have been crowned with many prizes and are regulary played in France and foreign countries by orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique of Radio-France, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Les Percussions de Strasbourg...

Currently, he teaches composition at Ircam within the framework of the workshops on computer music.
