Leigh LandyDirector of the MTI Research Group at De Montfort University Leigh Landy has a Research Chair and is Director of the Music, Technology and Innovation (MTI) Research Group at De Montfort University (Leicester, UK). His publications, including three books, involve the subjects of music technology, experimental music dramaturgy, contemporary music in a cross-arts context, access and the contemporary time-based arts, and devising practices in the performing arts. He is an editor of Organised Sound : an international journal of music technology and initiator and co-director of the EARS project. His artistic work has involved a great deal of collaboration, both within music and cross-art forms. This has included a lengthy period of collaborative work with the French video/new media artist, Michel Jaffrennou, the Dutch extended flutist/composer, Jos Zwaanenburg and the late Eastern German playwright, Heiner Müller. His work combines experimentation, surprise, humour and, most importantly, the view that such work be accessible to a wide audience. He is currently artistic director of Idée Fixe - Experimental Sound and Movement Theatre.
