Sylvie LacerteDirector of the FIND lab in Montreal Sylvie Lacerte has a BFA in "Scenography and visual arts" from Concordia University (1980, Canada) and an M.A. in "Visual Arts Administration / Museum Studies" from New York University (1987) which led her to internships in places such as P.S.1, A Center for Contemporary Art, the Dance Theater Workshop and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. Since 1999 she has been a PhD student at the University of Quebec in Montreal as aprt of the Theatre Studies and Practice program. She studies "The mediation mechanisms of contemporary art". She works as research assistant for GRAM (a Research Group in Media Arts), and since May 2003 has been general director of the FIND lab in Montreal, an international research and development Lab devoted to dance.
