DANCE AND NEW TECHNOLOGIESThis study day is organized in collaboration with IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse), Université Paul Sabatier - Toulouse 3 and CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique).
In the framework of the pluridisciplinary thematic Network ArtiSTIC of CNRS, IRIT, Université Paul Sabatier - Toulouse 3 and Ircam organize a series of two events on the theme : "About Dance".
Those conferences will be held on September 22nd and 23rd in Toulouse and on October 23rd at Ircam on the occasion of Résonances. Artists, engineers and scientists will be invited to make an inventory and exchange ideas on new perspectives open to interface between choreographic creation, technological development and scientific research. This theme falls within the scope of creation at Ircam, in 2003, of a research team on technologies for live performance. The objectives of this research team will be presented during the day of October 15th by : Andrew Gerzso (Ircam, Director of Education), Jean-Michel Lejeune (Ircam, Artistic Director) and Hugues Vinet (Ircam, Scientific Director). Moderator : Sally Jane Norman, director of the Ecole Supérieure de l'Image of Angoulême, under the patronage of Direction de la Musique de la Danse, du Théâtre et des Spectacles vivants and the Centre National de la Danse. Speakers : Andrea Cera (composer), N+N Corsino (choregraphers), Emmanuel Fléty (engineer, Ircam), Patrice Hamel (stage director), Sally Jane Norman (director of the Ecole supérieure de l'Image of Angoulême), Jean-François Peyret (director, teacher at the University of Paris III). |
