INNOVATIONS IN TODAY'S MUSICAL INDUSTRY Date : Wednesday, October 22nd 2003, 6:30pm to 8pm Reaktor
Reaktor 4 is a complete modular software studio for sound design and music production. Musicians and engineers can build and customize their own samplers, synthesizers, effects, and unique sound-generating or processing environments. By utilizing the constantly-increasing power of standard Mac and Windows CPUs, Reaktor 4 is an ideal studio instrument and laptop-based live performance tool. Instruments are constructed by cabling together onscreen elements - several hundred core Modules and Macros are included, and many more Macros can be downloaded online. The visual programming approach allows even non-programmers to realize complex audio structures. Reaktor 4 includes over thirty pre-assembled, high-level instruments that are ready to be used in studio, performance, and live settings. Reaktor 4 is Native Instruments' flagship product and has been in development since the company's founding in 1996. Speaker : Stephan Schmitt (Native Instruments founder and CTO) |
