Thomas Noll

Researcher, Technical University of Berlin

Thomas Noll studied Mathematics and received a PhD in Semiotics (1995) with investigations into Mathematical Music Theory. From 1998 to 2003, he was the leader of a young research group on Mathematical Music Theory at the Technical University of Berlin (see http://www.mamuth.de).

In his research he aims at integrating mathematical models into the investigation of musical apperception with main focus on harmony and counterpoint.
